It is delivering thousands of city centre apartments for rent (multi-family housing) as part of a £2.5bn pipeline.
Present Made is the UK’s first company to focus on designing, developing and operating purpose-built single-family homes for rent. You can read more about this here.
The company has a strong focus on creating communities, with every design choice considering local culture and character, the needs of our future residents and how we can help people to make sustainable and healthy choices.
Utilising Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Present Made deliver energy efficient smart homes that reduce living costs for residents.
The Present Made approach
Present Made proposes a shift in culture, from one that places greatest value on property ownership, to one that treasures the things people hold dearest: the experiences, memories, and relationships with places and their community. The stereotype of renting is that it is temporary. And, with that in mind, our homes are offered with flexible terms to make them suitable for a range of personal circumstances. In most single-family housing for rent, families tend to stay three to five years. However, our vision is for a community where people can also choose to put down roots and rent for life.
Creating a Legacy
We want our schemes to have a legacy and take a long-term view. Present Made will continue to act as landlord for the properties and manager for the site, supporting the community as it evolves over time. Amenities and services are included in one single monthly payment. We charge no fees and no deposits, meaning residents are saving money before they have moved in. It also provides confidence for our residents, knowing that they can stay for as long as they like.
We know life is busy, so we created the Present Made app so our residents can control theirs at the touch of a button while on the go.
Other Schemes
Present Made has secured four sites in the Oxford-Cambridge Arc, with plans for a further six sites. We have deliberately targeted areas in southern England where unaffordable housing is at its highest, and where our plans of £1.6 billion to deliver 3,000 precision engineered smart homes will have the greatest impact.
These are chosen not just for their excellent schools, transport links and work opportunities, but also for the fact that each has a rich history and story of unique character and personality to build on, drawing people and inspiration together.
