The initial consultation period for Present Made of Mill View ends on 30 November, with residents invited to share feedback via our online questionnaire.

The site is just north of Houghton Conquest and south of the Wixams development. It will include 650 homes, a primary school, and 87-acre country park, complemented by community amenities (more here).

It represents the latest phase in the site’s history, which received outline planning permission in 2019. Present Made, the UK’s first developer of purpose-built family homes and residential communities designed for renters, has taken on the site and is seeking to deliver the proposals.

Alan Penfold, executive director at Present Made, said: “We’ve already had some great suggestions from local residents and we want to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to share their views.

“We’re aiming for a new style of rental development, with high quality, low carbon homes designed for families, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and outdoor spaces.”

The new country park will be delivered within the first phase of the scheme and will make up half of the development’s total area. Housing will include a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, which will be owned and managed by Present Made for the long-term.

As well as the website, residents are invited to attend online meetings which will be hosted on Zoom on 25 November and 30 November, both at 19:00 (sign up at bit.ly/PM-Mill-View).
